Yesterday two ROK soldiers were killed and 14 more injured (KT Article) just up the road from my camp, when an anti-tank missile was accidently fired and exploded near a formation of soldiers.
Having experience dealing with ROK soldiers at ranges before safety is not always a number one priority. Why a platoon leader was playing with a live missile while a formation of soldiers was standing down range is a little strange. I’m going to use this incident at the next range my unit has as an example of why range safety is so important. It is to bad two soldiers had to die to serve as this example.
