Apparently Korea is about to begin constructing a peacekeeping unit to participate in increased UN peacekeeping requirements in the future.

This really isn’t a bad idea which I think the US military should look at creating in the future. Imagine if we already had a division constructed of MP’s, crack infantry troops, medical units, civil affairs units, and interpreters before the Iraq war. This type of unit could have really made a difference in Iraq as the military is now trying to transform the Army to be successful at peacekeeping and low intensity conflicts.
