Deceased ROK soldiers were honored yesterday in a ceremony in Seongnam. The soldiers drowned during training near the Imjim River near the DMZ. This isn’t the first time soldiers have drowned in the Imjim and probably won’t be the last. The training areas near the Imjim River are very vulnerable to flash flooding and extreme caution this time of year needs to be used for units training up there.
USFK commander General Leon LaPorte also attended the ceremony. General LaPorte is a big backer of the ROK military so this is no surprise that he attended to offer his condolescenses. Anyone know if President Roh attended or any other high government official outside of the Defense department attended this ceremony? I looked all over the available Korean media sites and couldn’t find anything. However, I wouldn’t be surprised if no one did attend considering how the Roh administration didn’t care to attend a ceremony honoring sailors killed in combat during a North Korean naval ambush in 2002. If that isn’t a big deal, what’s some soldiers drowning in the Imjim to them.

Obviously, the Roh administration's *bold talks* didn't get enough support from the North. Kim Jong Il didn't like the supply of substantial amount of electoricity power to the North Korea from the South.

So, the South Koreans will need to suppy the electrocity power to the North for free, in addition to support of the KEDO plan.
How can they play any kind of game so poorly?

Well, I see these issues in this way.
"Ring, ring, ring".
The direct phone rang, at which the uni-minister Chung Dong-young kept watching enthusiasticly every day.
K "I won't concur. You understand this?".
C "Yes, sir. Neither the president Ruh nor I, and none of the high rank officials will not attend the ceremoney."
K "Well, sure you do. By the way, I almost forget to say. Send rice quickly."
C "Of course, we do, in addition to the power supply."
K "Don't be late. Also don't forget to tame the Americans, you ass-hole. Why you idiots are so evident to mention anything related with our relationship? You did good work against the Japaneses, though."
C "Did we well?"
K "Well done, but you could be harsher. Tell them the abduction issue was over, completely."
C "Sure we do. I strongly believe the both US and Japan won't pick this issue in the six party talks."
K "Don't use your brain, do as I told you."
C "Some Koreans are still arguing so many South Koreans are killed or abducted in the former unification attempt."
K "Send them here in the future. I will take care of them…."
