I've lived here a long time, and worked in Japan quite a bit. Koreans are petty, little people. I've spent a good chunk of my life protecting these fucks, and I think I am starting to regret it.

Jion,

In that comment here, I simply meant that even if the map makers agree to label the sea with both names, it will not be over. There will be an argument about whose name is placed above the other or on the left -- a fight over which name has a "higher place of promenance" or "honor" --- like Hollywood actos and actresses argue over whose name goes where and how it looks on the movie posters and billboards...

Sonagi, I'm not highlighting topics that are favorable to Korea bashers from Japan. I am highlighting a topic that was the lead story of the Chosun Ilbo the largest newspaper in Korea.

I'm pointing out how absurd this fight over the Sea of Japan/East Sea is compared to more pressing concerns which the Korean government could care less about. I only wish the Korean government expended half the energy they use lobbying the IHO to rescure their own citizens from North Korea and save NK defectors from being returned to the gulags of North Korea.

When I was in Kuwait, we called the Persian Gulf, the Arabian Gulf, out of deference to our hosts who consider the Gulf to be Arabian not Persian.

But the Gulf oil states don't seem to mind that the rest of the world calls it the Persian Gulf and even with all the money they have in their possession, they aren't lobbying the IHO to change the name.
