The 4 boxes were supposed to go to a hotel in Korea as a sample through an exporter in California. The USDA blamed Midamar for not making sure the meat was not exported to Korea because it did not meet export requirements. You can read the USDA report here:

Darrin O’Brien, who works in export sales for Midamar, said they were sent to a South Korean company in California, which he said he would not identify.

Why doesn't he identify this mysterious "South Korean company"? And how does the unnamed South Korean company have the authority to make shipments for them on behalf of Midamar.

Why would a South Korean company that presumably makes money sending American goods to Korea intentionally try to derail the possibility of sending lots of American goods (beef) to Korea in the future? I can think of a few reasons, but I can also think of a few reasons why Midamar might want to make up something to cover their ass.

Has the South Korean company been identified since late June?

The route of the beef seems almost as complicated as the route taken by the £25million from BDA.

I'm guessing that little detail about the beef being shipped to a South Korean company won't appear anywhere in the Korean media.
