I gave Judge Pearson one of my Knucklehead awards. Shortly after AOL linked to my blog. I got over 30 comments on my post, not one of which defended Pearson. To my recollection, no one took the man's side anywhere on the blogosphere.

Sonagi made a good point, maybe the Chungs weren't aware of the support they got. Either that or the Korean MSM didn't mention it in their reporting. I'd give them the benefit of the doubt till proven otherwise.

Sonagi you remind me of Kushibo the Korean excuse machine. If Koreans do something wrong, you make comments that are some way a deflection for Korean interests. Otherwise you are their biggest cheerleader.

At least the Marmot gets paid for being an apologist, what do you get?

At first I was appalled by Chungs' apparent lack of acknowledgement of support from Americans in general. Then I wondered if Chung did mention such support and that was omitted from the story or if the Chungs were unaware of nationwide sympathy for Chung and disgust at the judge because they did not read or watch English language news sources. I suspect the latter. While the lawyers did open up a fund when the case first broke, most financial support before that probably came from fellow ethnic Koreans in the community. Since the Chungs are not fluent in English, they probably do not have any close friends who are not Korean.
