UPDATE: TNR stands by its story, and Michelle Malkin is reporting on this too and has possibly identified who is the fraud.

Yet another leftist plant in the military has been discovered. Read here about the newest war hero being lionized by the American left, "Scott Thomas". I have posted before about leftist plants being used to politicize the military and at this rate soon an entire platoon of them can be formed with 1LT Watada as the platoon leader. Just another example of libelous journalism that the media in America continues to get away with.

The New Republic let Stephan Glass print tall-tales for over a year - month after month. I was in Korea at the time and missed the story when it broke, but after I saw the movie Shattered Glass, I went back to read some of his stories (they weren’t easy to find even with the internet)….
If something reads like it is too good to be true —- if it reads like a Hollywood screen play, you might want to check facts a little harder….

yea each day if I dont water mine I have to soon get rid of my plants too
Hey Youknow I went looking for camp Indian today and it was not easy to find considering I never heard of it before. I think I found it based on one of the readers directions….Off the beaten path up a hill with a mountain behind it and there it was///well all I could see was the front gate and it was locked
Dont forget about the POL Pumping station that once existed on the side of a hill heading back from Seoul…closed in the early 90s taken over by the ROK Army then abandoned. Yes left turn from Stanley and go about 8 miles and its on the left…you wont see it
I visited Camp Page today too….Still nothing has been done to this camp…what a waste of a great camp….I say reopen the beotch
While in Chuncheon I found another war memorial today….On the banks of the river not far from Page…Well done status again…artillery piece that looked like the took a 105mm and covered with bronze///too cool except it was only for the Koreans…all Korean Soldiers and everything in Hangul…..but they did continue to reference 6-27-1950.
All the Soldiers had American weapons and artillery but I am thinking at this point in the war they had not had time to be given American gear yet…just a thought
Also there was a small car ferry there/// a barge and a small boat//// Thought about taking the plunge but I kept imagining the storyline
Ferry overturns in the river with one American on board….no survivors

Actually I am all backwards today as I am distracted with “Your comment is awaiting moderation”
Its actually a right turn out of Stanley and its on the left about 8 miles…Still you wont find it

Enough Already…
I’m not sure what to make of the Scott Thomas scandal at The New Republic. I started subscribing after the Stephen Glass fiasco, and I don’t think I’ve ever even read one of the diaries. It’s not as if I have a lot of time to re…
