Red Devils Advance to Semis

Team Korea has moved on to the semi-finals of the Asian cup with a 4-2 victory over Iran.  Korea plays Iraq next in what should prove to be quite an interesting match up.

Not bad, for a 'B' Team. All the European league players are injured and/or didn't play for the team.

The current success should shut up Lee Dong-guk for awhile and the rest of the critics of Verbeek. It appears that the team is getting better with every game even though as you pointed out they missing some of their big guns like Park Ji-sung, Lee Young-pyo and Seol Ki-hyeon to injury. I think they miss Park Ji-sung more than any other player because I always thought he was good unselfish play maker.

The Red Devils had beat Iraq before but Iraq is on a roll and playing strong and hopefully the Korean team want go into the game to over confident due to pass success. Lets hope they can continue to improve, play well, and advance.

Can you imagine the hype around a Japan versus Korea final?
