This article paints a picture as if almost nothing was going on around the troops in the pusan perimeter as it was later called.

No Gun Ri is not news to me. I remember the news stories on the North Korean armies forcing civilians to go ahead of them as they advanced which did lead to many civilian deaths. Please remember that not a single one of those deaths would have occurred if the North Koreans had not invaded South Korea. I remember how shocked we were that the North Koreans would use such a tactic and we (Americans) had never encountered this blatant abouse of civilians in combat.

The North Koreans were rushing south on the peninsula in an attempt to overrun it quickly with no holds barred. The article from AP makes it sound like there was very little happpening there. In reality all h___ was breaking out all over the area. The men that fought there took on a dirty job and just barely held the line long enough.

Finally, I found the South Korean people very welcoming to us.

Gents,

I'm putting the finishing touches on tomorrows posting as I type this. It is hard trying to condense the sheer amount of information that disputes what the AP wrote into one blog posting but hopefully you guy's find tomorrow's posting interesting.
