Not the movie, which was silly crap that mocked the book. I Read it first as a teen, re-read it again not too long ago. My son needed to do a report on an award-winning book for school. I knew I had some Hugo and Nebula award winners lying around, so I googled the list and found my copy of Starship Troopers (Hugo Award for Best Novel, 1960). The book is a love letter to the Infantry (Army and Marine), and to a lesser extent the rest of the military too. BTW Heinlein was an Annapolis grad and spent a few years as a ship driver. Rumor has it they are going to make Starship Troopers #3, following the style of #1 again. #2 was a horrible low-budget 'Alien' copy...
