I posted yesterday why there was a drop in GI incidents this summer and now it appears things are about back to normal with a warrant officer convicted of cheating on his wife with a subordinate and a private convicted of assault in the TDC Ville. Shockingly, alcohol was involved in both incidents.

I think the lawyer put it quite nicely when he said the warrant officer was only sorry that he got caught. In my experience that is usually how it goes though I have seen some cases where people got involved in some stupid crap and geniunely felt bad about it.

I guess I am way too sheltered. I cant wrap my head around an Officer.. a MARRIED officer sleeping with a Private.. a MARRIED private..

The big reason why court martials go on hiatus in the middle of summer is UFL. Court Martial panel members are all tasked for UFL in August and are not available again until September. Inevitably case loads pile up during that period as well.

This happens quite a bit in Korea because they are away from the spouse and kids and think they can get away with it and usually they do.
