Australia has a population of 20 million and yet with such a small population Australia politically, economically, and militarily is far more relevant in the world than nations with much larger populations. On a light-hearted note, calling Australia a "small nation" would be equivalent to challenging an Aussie to a game of rugby on broken glass. Australia is HUGE and almost the size of the US. Of course, everyone lives on the coast over here and the outback is pretty much no-mans land. Excellent video. Imagine if US has 60% of our forces deployed outside of CONUS. Talk about the committment that Aussies make.
