GI,
bit late with the answer but I've only just got home from there. The IED was a standard TC-6 AT mine rigged with a home-made saw blade pressure plate and D cell battery pack. Nothing Iranian. The term 'roadside bomb' is a misnomer in this case as the device was buried in the road and exploded underneath the vehicle directly under the driver's compartment. The mine punched a fairly neat hole straight through the bottom of the ASLAV.
