Jeff Emanuel beat to this, but this "real soldier" from the anti-war left, Josh Gaines is returning the National Defense Service Medal and the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal which are both automatically awarded to everyone who goes to Iraq.  In fact the NDSM you just have to be in the Army to get that one.  What is telling to someone in the military and not the leftists at his little anti-war get together is that he was not returning any achievement medals. 

If you are a soldier with no awards and you served in Iraq that means you had to be an absolute utter dirtbag not to receive any award and sure enough he was by receiving a other than honorable discharge for using drugs.  What is even more telling about his performance is that he pissed hot after coming back from Iraq which means he received no achievement award while in Iraq not because of drugs, but because of performance.  This guy doesn’t even have a Certificate of Achievement which is the easiest award in the military to receive to send back to Rumsfeld.  A dirt bag soldier, who reportedly didn’t even fire his weapon in Iraq, and who has a drug problem is now the left’s definition of a "real soldier".  Well they can have him.
