[...] This was the first blow to Korean baseball fans and now it appears a second major blow in less then a year may be hitting Korean baseball. Can it get any worse? [...]

GI, what are you talking about? Bob is a traitor and a total sellout. I'm calling Roh Moo Hyun right now to make sure he never enters S.Korea again.

I'm a Red Sox fan and Korean-American. First off I'm psyched about the Sox. Second, I disown BH Kim. Just like Gagne in game 2 of this series, when the Korean National team put in BH Kim in the semifinals against Japan, I knew Korea had lost. I don't blame Japan or Ichiro (honestly I find Ichiro's bizarre comments entertaining), I blame the coach for putting in a choker like BH Kim.

I'd like us Koreans to not equate rooting against Japan as pro-Korean. Are we that unable to move on? Must we be so outspoken during World Cups to openly root against Japan when they're not playing Korea?

I'm not sure what the numbers are off the top of my head but nearly half of the dollars for his contract was given to his Japanese club in order to release him from his contract with that team.

He helped get them to the World Series which goes to show he may be worth it but we'll see if he is still worth that much money when Boston plays my home state team the Rockies who are 25th in the league in regards to payroll.

During last night's game, I thought I heard the television announcer say that the Japanese league wanted 20 million dollars just to talk to Matsuzaka, and that his contract salary was another 26 million.

Am I right?

If so, OMG !!!

Koreans in MLB are a big disappointment. There were about 7 Korean players in 2003. Now, there is just 1 today, BK Kim, who is awful.
