If you thought protesting GI’s electricity bills was bad, now the South Korean fifth column is protesting USFK taxis at Incheon Airport:
A South Korean civic group thinks Americans are getting an unfair break at Seoul’s main international airport.
The group — whose name roughly translates to Incheon Association Toward Peace and Participation — wants the Incheon International Airport to remove a taxi stand reserved for shuttle buses and taxis for U.S. Forces Korea personnel.
“It is beyond common sense,” said Rho Myeong-gu, the group’s director. “It is nothing but preferential treatment for USFK by Incheon airport officials who worship the powerful Americans.” [Stars & Stripes]
I have been to the airport a number of times and I have never seen it busy enough there to where there was any issue with the Arirang Taxi stand for USFK servicemembers. The taxi stand prevents servicemembers from getting ripped off by the local Incheon taxi drivers. Fortunately Incheon airport officials say they have no plans to shut down the taxi stand.
With all the anti-USFK articles that have been coming out, you can tell it is election time again. For the love of God I hope no one in USFK has any major training exercises scheduled until after the election. One traffic accident could get Nomad’s worst nightmare elected as the President of Korea.

Its just the hypocritical thing the Koreans got going around here.
I seen that taxi and bus area and its at the very end of the terminal where no airline operates…but if you notice most of the other parts of the terminal drop off area you can never find a place to pull over because it is dominated by people trying to make a buck by blocking the spots so they can unload your car and take your stuff into the airport
I normally right infront of these people and depending on what language they speak to me act as if I speak yet another language….the other day it was Chinese
The Koreans can driver and park in any bizzare manner that fits their moment or stop in the middle of the lane to do a text message but as soon as the evil American passes by a construction flag dude because they are too ignorant to pull the truck out of the mud BEFORE they blocked traffic for 5 minutes
Its like the trash bag scam going on. You have to buy these small and EXPENSIVE trash bags or the trash people will not pick up your trash…its not about the environment or global warming…its about making a buck
My apartment guard does not care if people park in handicapped spots or in an area that blocks the legal parkers from getting out of the space or if someone drives at full speed through the apartment complex…..nope they are only there to watch the trash cans and what people are dumping in them

Your trash can experience mirrors mine living in a Korean apartment but our guards were actually pretty good at going after illegal parkers. The guards had these big stickers they would put on the cars windshield that is a pain to take off and clean if they caught someone parking illegally.
I wish the cops did that all across Korea because people would start parking legally in a hurry.

So called protesters are nothing more than jobless social rejects that have nothing better to do. Besides, they get paid through powerful pro-north special interest groups. They'll be forced to clean up their act after the election later this year.
