USFK Court Martial Results for October 2007

The latest USFK court martial results have been released and what a busy month it has been.  Many of the incidents I have covered here on the ROK Drop like the Osan security squadron percocet scandal, the child porn case, promotion scam, various credit card theft cases, and BAH fraud.  Really just a large collection of stupid stuff on post with the only trend being the MPs and Air Force security personnel are continuing to cause the most trouble.

Now off post has been another good month for USFK though with just two more DUIs and one larceny conviction.  The DUIs are beginning to really concern me because that makes 10 DUI convictions in the last seven months.  This is a ticking time bomb for the Korean media jump on and sensationalize unless something is done to get it under control.   Something else I found strange about one of the DUI cases was that a private was driving.  Why was a private allowed driving privileges to begin with?  Though it is authorized I think you can question why a second lieutenant in the second case has driving privileges as well.  All it could take is one Sgt. Onkin case and another anti-American leftist could get elected as the next Korean President.

The complete court martial results are below the fold:

    Small potatoes…

…a few kids dabbling with rather victim-less quantities of Percocet, a number of petty thieves and a potential kiddy-toucher.

Article 15s are the way to go if you don’t want things becoming public knowledge and you don’t want too many questions that might expose everyone else involved in the plot.

Anybody ever wonder what happened to Colonel Edwards?

    J!

    E,

    As I recall, a $10,000 fine… the end.

Probably followed by retirement and a high-paying job with someone he hooked up while he was still in charge… but that is only speculation based on rumor.

Stars & Stripes could have… no, SHOULD have… brought continued attention to this… even if it was constant reprints of USFK denials and lack of comment.

This might have caused something in the dirty system to change… as well as serving as a warning to others.

    …but… no.

The USFK Conspiracy of Shared Values ™ continues.
