Who Will Save Yoo Sang-joon?

I highly recommend everyone read One Free Korea’s posting about the Chinese sending human rights activist Yoo Sang-joon back to North Korea where he certain to face life in a gulag or if lucky a quick death by a firing squad despite him now being a South Korean citizen.  Make sure to read the whole posting about Yoo’s life because it is quite amazing what he has been able to accomplish after the death of his family.  With the tenacity Koreans are famous for, Yoo has been able to do much to smuggle fellow North Korean defectors through China so southeast Asia and on to South Korea.

The big question now is, who is going save Yoo Sang-joon now.  Considering how the South Korean government could care less about their citizens kidnapped and imprisoned in North Korea currently, don’t expect them to care about a naturalized South Korean citizen.  The US government won’t do anything because they have to much invested in the myth of progress.  The United Nations?  Are you kidding me?  The only hope for this man is from all of us promoting his cause and pressuring the Chinese government.  This has worked before and One Free Korea has all the information you need to make it work again.

More crimes against humanity that President Roh has to answer for. While he makes his pilgrimage to pay his respects to the Dear Leader and toast his regime with expensive French wine, atrocities like this are happening… to his own people, no less. Sickening.
