Voter Apathy Before Presidential Election in Korea

Welcome to how we feel in the United States:

Kim Min-kyeong, 30, says she is not sure whether she will "bother" to vote in the upcoming presidential election.

"There is no one to vote for. There is not a single candidate that I feel drawn to, be it for their political positions or policies," said Kim, who describes herself as a typical middle-class citizen.

With less that three weeks until the Dec. 19 election, little enthusiasm is evident among the people, even with this record number of 12 candidates. [Korea Herald]

This would be bad news for Seoul’s Left. The unmoved woman profiled in the story should, in theory, fit right into their target audience. Roh and his cronies must be very nervous…
