And I wouldn't be surprised if we hear very little about this case once he is handed over to the military. I remember a big case back in about 1998 where a Korean soldier robbed a bank using a rifle and some concussion grenades taken off base where he even wounded some people. It was huge news, because that type of gun crime is so rare, and they did not know he was a soldier at the time. The fact he got away with it for about a week or so kept it a hot story, but once he was handed over to the military after they finally did catch him, you never heard a word about it again.....at least not in the English sections of the Korean press....
