Airman Pleads Guilty to Killing Bar Owner

Could you imagine what the reaction of people in Korea would be if this incident in Japan happened there:

The former Misawa airman who confessed to murdering his Japanese ex-wife and burning her corpse apologized in court this week to the victim’s family.

“For about a year and a half I’ve been thinking about what I can say to her family,” William Scott Omari McAllister said in Aomori District Court on Monday. “I took their daughter’s life and I regret doing that.”

Because he destroyed Naomi Kimura’s body, “they never got a proper chance to say goodbye to her,” he added.

But, “an apology is not enough,” he said, agreeing with Kimura’s parents that he deserves the death penalty.

“I can’t imagine what it’s like for someone to kill your daughter,” he said. “I have a 3-year-old daughter. If someone killed her, they’d have to die.”

McAllister, whose trial began Dec. 3, has pleaded guilty to killing Kimura on July 20, 2006. Her burned body was found in the trunk of her Toyota Celica, which he left on railroad tracks in the nearby fishing port city of Hachinohe.  [Stars & Stripes]

Read the whole thing because this airman has an unbelievably tangled web of multiple Japanese ex-wives and girlfriends from the Japanese ville in Misawa.  You gotta love this line, “She told me she was just using me for my money", so he kills her for it.  What a disgrace this airman is.  I doubt he will receive the death penalty but he is at least looking at a very long time behind bars.

    GIKorea,

I believe this did happen in Seoul a few years (perhaps about 10 or so) back when a guy killed his wife/girlfriend and then tried to hide the crime by burning her body in a barrel. I can’t remember most of the details but I do remember that they found the body near the entrance to the Kyungbu Expressway partially burned up. As I recall, there was some public outcry but nothing on the scale of say the “subway rape” case. If any of GI’s other readers with longer memories than mine can fill in the details, please do.

This could have easily been Stanleyville, Tokari, or Dongducheon.

All Japanese women just use you for your money. Its one of the going in things you need to know when dating them. The trick is to get them to make you feel better while you are being used.

Japanese courts and the justice system here are centered on showing remorse for one’s crimes. So he is doing what is required to avoid the death penalty-although as you point out it is not often given to Gaijins. He will do 8-10 years in a Japanese jail though and that is not a pleasant experience.

    His life is over.

    Heh…

“The prosecution also tried to get McAllister to reveal who helped him dispose of Kimura’s body, asking at one point whether it was Johnson.

“I can’t say who the other person is,” McAllister said, “because it’s my fault that other person got involved.” ”

I guess it’s true. Friends help you move… REAL friends help you move bodies.

It’s too bad he had to kill a money-grubbing bargirl with a loud mouth and a mean streak… a real tragedy.

I hope the lesson was not lost on the rest of the community. When alone with the big drunk, angry guy, it’s better to shut your teriyaki hole and not fire him up with crappy comments.

    Richardson,

Here is a much better site…

…with graphic pix of what was left of her dumped body (all the good parts were cut away) and the contents of the refrigerator (with all the good parts that had not yet been eaten).

I think that boy watched just a little too much tentacle pron.

In Dongducheon a GI killed his juicy girl after he found out she had another guy. After killing her he put a broomstick up her rear and then put chemicals all over her to burn her. The crime scene photos from that attack are still carried by the anti-US groups during protests just like the accident photos from the 2002 armored vehicle accident.

If such a brutal killing like this one in Japan happened in Korea today, the anti-US groups would have a field day with it. However, since the election is over the response would not be as off the wall and get as much attention as what happened in 2002.
