Not related to the post, but I am about a third of the way through Halberstam's book on the Korean War. Would be very interested to hear your thoughts.

Korean acting, with very, very, very few exceptions, sucks. Kinda like porn acting in the US.

Im sure if these were American actors you would say they were fantastic
Dont drink the Hateraid my friend

The Kingkitty found this to be an excellent film. The North Koreans really got it going on. They all have abundant fields of food and the women travel around town singing songs and playing flutes. THEY RULE

Not a bad film. Of course a lot of political agenda woven in but that happens in all countries. I am amazed at the big difference in appearance Koreans have -North/South. Also, a major difference in accent. It reminded me of an old Italian film I saw once.

Thanks for the linkage GI, and I thank the rest of you for visiting DPRK Forum. Yes, this was a very odd movie, full of propaganda and agenda. It is amazing with a little time and a little luck what kind of goodies can be found on YouTube.

You are wrong Kingkitty. Bad acting is bad acting. My opinions are not dictated by nationalism like Koreans. Acting in US soap operas for example is horrendous.
"Don't drink the Hateraid my friend"
This is a message you should give to Koreans! Anti-Semetic cartoons and Hitler bars anyone?!
Hypocrisy at its finest here in the land of the morning calm.

ROK drop now lets it's unsurscriber's post, for this I'm thankfull. As an avid visitor of this site since early 2007 and also a non-Asian American intersted in Korea; like the founder of this site, I must say this: This site helps us "foreigners" understand why the "Hermit Kingdom" may not yet be ready for its own Korean Wave when Americans hit the shores back at it. I am not the first American who now realizes that the Hermit Kingdom in the South must now understand why they are seperate. Am I the only one who is tired of North Korea claiming that a concrete wall physically exists dividing North and South Korea?
Since the first of this month of January, North Korea seems to be clawing at an invisible wall.

Well Beatinzone….seems someone has a "Koreans Suck" conplex
Get over the hatred and see the people here for the wonders they are.
Did you know Koreans are direct descended from God? You would know that if you were not filled with such anger. Did you also notice Korea is the only Country in the world with four distinct seasons? No your too busy worring about that guy who cut you off then stopped infront of you to do a text message, Also you know if you were so intoxicated with hateraid you would see that Korean eyes are stronger than any other eyes in the world. Yes so before you complain because you have to us a 4000 won garbage bag that holds about a half pound of trash/ you need to stop and be one with the great Korean people and they inturn will embrace your existance
12:46 am on January 8th, 2008 10
Please Kingkitty give me a break. Koreans are famous for hate. Teach your own people not to hate and then talk to me. Get rid of the Hitler Bars, the anti-Semetic cartoons and demand that biracial Koreans rights are protected otherwise… Since Koreans are better than everyone else so it's your duty to lead the world in getting rid of hate, because you are so much better as a race.
Also, I've noticed Koreans are so much stronger than other races. That's why places like the US have done more in 150yrs than Korea has done in 3000yrs. That's why you need and need US soldiers to die for you. I just forgot that's all.
Japan, China, Singapore and India, that's the future of Asia, bye-bye Korea!
Kingkitty, saying Korean acting sucks with a few exceptions is not racism, it's called being SUBJECTIVE. I assume your hypocritical rant is just sarcasm. If not, it would show how the Korean education system is on par with, well, nothing. If you can PROVE everything you said do it.
BTW: We are all direct descendants of God.
12:47 am on January 8th, 2008 11
Sorry that's you needed and need US soldiers to save and die for Korea.
12:35 pm on January 8th, 2008 12
How can you live with such hate Beatinzone? The Kingkitty feels sad for you. You need a puppy
