It looks like Lee Myung-bak is moving quickly to make friends over at CFC headquarters at Yongsan:
President-elect Lee visited the Combined Forces Command Headquarters where he was warmly welcomed by the CFC Commander Gen. B.B. Bell and Deputy CFC Commander General Kim, Byung-Kwan.
President-elect Lee was greeted by CFC personnel and posed for a group photo with U.S. Ambassador Alexander Vershbow, ROK Chairman of the Joint Chief’s of Staff General Kim, Kwan-jin, and ROK and U.S. general officers.
The president-elect was escorted through the United Nations Command Honor Cordon and stopped at the original Korean War Armistice Signing Table in order to sign the CFC Guest Book.
Next, President-elect Lee walked past ROK and U.S. general officers, shaking hands with them as they greeted and welcomed him to the CFC Headquarters.
During his visit, President-elect Lee was given a briefing on current CFC operations.
Prior to his departure from CFC Headquarters, President-elect Lee was presented with a Katchi Kapshida “We Go Together†statue from General Bell who also thanked him for visiting the command. [USFK.mil]

General Bell may not be smiling in the picture but he must be quite happy inside that he has someone who isn’t reflexively anti-American about to run the Blue House.Â
