Well our pirate bootleg video guys at Humphreys are obviously more sly than the Seoul counterpart.
See here they hide in shops well camouflaged with MOVIE POSTERS. The Korean police will never suspect bootleg videos are being sold in these shops.

China is “blessed” with a largely secular nation? They’re not secular by choice, are they? You don’t have to be religious to be anti gay, just ask some of the Koreans.
If there was religious freedom in China, I’m pretty sure the Chinese Christians (or islamic) groups there would actively oppose gay practices there. Or (gasp) rally against government practices that strike down on their right to worship. Popular speech needs no protection. Because the Ku Klux Klan can come up to my face and insult me for not being white and NOT get arrested, America will be infintely more free than China will ever be.
(And psssssttt…. China is at least indirectly responsible for the present day NK)
