Camp Casey Soldier Acquitted of Rape

Here is why I have always told soldiers if you are going to have sex don’t do it in the barracks or anywhere else, go to a hotel:

There were two versions of what happened at the Milan Hotel on May 4, 2007.

Either Sgt. Michael D. Daniels raped a junior enlisted soldier after a night of drinking in Dongducheon, or the woman had consensual sex and accused Daniels of rape to explain a large hickey to her new boyfriend.

The six-member court-martial jury, after deliberating 30 minutes, found Daniel not guilty in a Camp Casey courtroom Friday.

“This is a case about regret, nothing more,” defense lawyer Capt. Brigid Osei-Bobie said. “She couldn’t explain the glaring hickey on her neck to an angry boyfriend.”  [Stars & Stripes]

By going to a hotel it shows a level of consent from the female in question especially when she could not argue she went to the hotel to avoid getting caught for curfew because they went to the hotel well before curfew.  These idiots that have sex in the barracks and alleyways and have rape allegations brought against them, I do not feel sorry for because they put themselves in a situtation to be accused of rape in the first place.
