By I highly recommend everyone read the New York Times Magazine article about a company of soldiers from the 173rd Airborne Brigade battling to control the Korengal Valley in eastern Afghanistan. Keep in mind that it is the New York Times so there is of course some politcal points trying to be made in the article, but overall quite good and informative.
