Julio,

Thanks for commenting. The Civil Rights that the Columbian military is upholding to is important because the US Congress especially with Democrats in control will not continue the US aid to Columbia if the military was committing human rights violations.

I'm assuming your are Columbian, but you should be proud on how professionalized the Columbian military is becoming. I have worked with Columbian military personnel before in the states and believe that building blocks to a great military in Columbia are all there. Once the military is able to get the security situation stabilized it will allow the economy to expand as well.

I wish Columbia the best and President Uribe is really an unsung hero in Latin America.

Chaves, along with the other comunist in Latin America, Castro of Cuba,Correo of Ecudor, Ortega of Nicaragua, Morales of Bolivia, are anti-american, anti Colombia and anti democracy. They are allied to the terroist FARC rebels in Colombia, to try to destabiliaze the country. They are murderes,kidnappers, bombers, drug traffickers. There have been even world-wide demonstrations against the FARC. Talking doesn't work, The FARC must be eliminated. The Colombian army is made to respect their "Civil Rights", they don't respect others civil rights. Chavez must be stopped from using the FARC to take over Colombia. Coolombian law must be changed to take away civil rights of terrorists. Most FARC members would then desert. This would stop lot of the drug traffic. If this would happen, Great resources being used to combat the FARC sould be used education and jobs for the poor, social programs. This would be the salvation of Colombia.
