Recruiting station at Times Square bombed.
This is breaking news in New York:
Police have cordoned off New York City’s Times Square after a small explosion hit a military recruiting station, US media has reported.
Fox News said on its website the explosion happened on 43rd Street and 8th Avenue at approximately 3:45am (7:45pm AEDT), causing a puff of smoke.
Reports also say police found a second, unexploded package, but this could not be immediately confirmed.
Witnesses said the noise was loud enough to be heard at a local hotel, two blocks away.
Fox News says police have diverted all traffic and subway services in the area. [ABC News - Australia]
Fox News is reporting that Times Square has been blocked off and police are checking surveillance cameras in the area for information. Apparently a man on a bicycle bombed the recruiting station and a second explosive has also been found at the scene.
Could this be another attack on a military recruiting station by the lefty loons? Who knows but fortunately no one was hurt.
Update: More over at Blackfive
