The usual clowns are out protesting the possible US Free Trade Agreement with the United States:
Following the release of a video showing the unethical handling of “downer” cattle at a California slaughterhouse, which led to fears of U.S. beef being contaminated by mad cow disease, a Korean consumer group held a demonstration on the morning of Mar. 4th at the Bosingak on Jongno, central Seoul. The group called upon consumers to show their concerns about the foodsafety threat posed by mad cow disease, urging them to speak out against importation of U.S. beef. [KBS Global]
They claim that US beef is not safe yet they cannot identify one person who has contracted mad cow disease from US beef.

I saw that same lady supporting Chung Dong Yong down on the corner during the elections. You gotta love freedom of speech!
Of course this is a vocal minority. If they don't want US beef, that's fine, consumer choice, right?. I just wish the US would follow a policy of reciprocity when government level trade decisions are made.
Hey, should we stop importing Korean students? We have at least 2 cases of mental illness. One KILLED Americans and the other molested a child. I think we have more backing than these bored protectionist-communists.

These fools are just idealistic activists enjoying their rights as free citizens. It is not about the beef. It is about dislike (dare I say hatred?) of the US. Let’s see them complain about mistreatment of dogs on their home turf. Pot to kettle: “you’re black”.
Speaking of US beef, my in-laws absolutely dig the commissary steaks I grill up (as do I). Hell, I even get them to eat the skins on the grill-baked Idaho Russetts! No small feat for those in the know.
When Chusok and Lunar New Year come around, the eat the shit out of that LA kalbi crap. I don’t know how they eat all the fat and gristle on those things. It take some serious grillin’ skill to keep from burning them.

I hate the FTA! The US should not send one thing to Korea. In fact the US should ban all exports to Korea. Additionally a 500% tariff should be put on every Korean import into the US.

No we cannot do that. If we stopped sending stuff to Korea these types of protest would end and THAT WOULD BE A
SHAME
Also the level of Black marketing would turn viscous.
