Lesbian Decides to Run for Office in Korea

It will be interesting to see how this election campaign turns out:

South Korea’s first openly lesbian politician will run for a parliamentary seat in the April general polls.

“I want to carry out political activities not for 1 per cent of the citizens but 100 per cent,” said Choi Hyun-suk, 51. Choi will run on the ticket of the New Progressive Party, which recently split from the Democratic Labour Party.

“There are people who ask if a divorced lesbian is qualified to become a lawmaker. But actually, a minority person who is in a difficult situation can best understand and carry out true policies for the majority.”  [Korea Herald]

I think I speak for most guys that a divorced lesbian is qualified to run for office as long as she is a hot lesbian.

I think she’s qualified to run too, whether she’s male-fantasy cute, butch-reality, or somewhere in between!

Sadly though, although no Koreans think AIDS is a foreign gay disease anymore (only English-language books still say they do) I think Korean society’s treatment of gay comedian Hong Seok-cheon suggests that she probably doesn’t stand a chance of being elected. Hell, it still isn’t even comfortable with unmarried women having heterosexual sex, as singer Ivy’s recent courtcase shows – a virtual repeat of Baek Ji-yong’s treatment during her sex video scandal in 2000.

Sorry, I don’t know how to embed links for comments. So, for more info on Hong Seok-cheon see link 1, and link 2 might also be interesting. For more info on Ivy, see link 3:

I believe lesbians and others that have a “sexual craving” for people of the same sex are physically/mentally different. If you disagree, does that mean you have had homosexual thoughts? I have never wanted any type of homosexual encounter and have only desired women of my own species. However, if Korea wants a lesbian, thats fine with me, as they have a crook for a president.

Sesame Seed thanks for the Lou Dobbs link. That is some jacked up sh** if this bill gets passed. I will do a separate posting on it. Thanks again.

I heard she has a national plan in competition with President Lee’s Canal.

She wants to build a dike.

“I think I speak for most guys that a divorced lesbian is qualified to run for office as long as she is a hot lesbian.”

    I can see it.

    Enter cute secretary…

“I finished the report you requested ma’am. It’s so late and the halls of congress are so cold and lonely after everyone has left for the night. And the snow is so heavy and there are no taxis. What will we do, stranded here all night?”

    Waka-chicky, waka-chicky, bonk-chicky-wow-wow!

    ChickenHead,

I hope the secretary is Lee Hyori look alike.
