It is quite an interesting phenomenon to watch happen that college students are more stressed out by the Iraq War then the actual people fighting in it:
The poll underscores that even though the economy has surpassed Iraq in many polls as the country’s top problem, war continues to have a big personal impact on students — many of whom are stressed out for other reasons as well.
The AP-mtvU survey found that overall, eight in 10 college students say they feel stress, including four in 10 who say it affects them often. The most often mentioned causes include school, money and relationships. MtvU is a television channel broadcast at many college campuses. [Associated Press]
While all these college students are living stressed out lives the people actually serving in the war are re-enlisting in record numbers:
According to Army statistics obtained exclusively by FOX News, 70 percent of soldiers eligible to re-enlist in 2006 did so — a re-enlistment rate higher than before Sept. 11, 2001. For the past 10 years, the enlisted retention rates of the Army have exceeded 100 percent. As of last Nov. 13, Army re-enlistment was 137 percent of its stated goal. [Fox News]
Take a look at this chart that just shows how strong the re-enlistments for the US Army has been:

It is interesting that in the peace time military days the Army could not get the people it needed to re-enlist while in a state of extended conflict the US Army is getting more and more people to re-enlist. Maybe during the peace time years the soldiers had to much time to take college classes and it was stressing them out?
Make sure to check out the rest of the retention statistics which as always debunks the conventional wisdom that people have about the military. Is it any wonder why these people on campus are so stressed out when they believe all the propaganda being fed to them?
