North Korea to Admit to Nuclear Proliferation to Syria?

I would hope that if North Korea admits to proliferating nuclear technology to Syria it would be a bigger story then this short article in the Chosun:

The U.S. and North Korea will talk about the North’s nuclear program in Singapore on Tuesday. The U.S.’ chief negotiator to six-nation talks on issue, Christopher Hill, will meet with his North Korean counterpart Kim Kye-gwan to discuss the full declaration of nuclear activities and programs, which the North has delayed for more than three months.

A diplomatic source in Seoul said the two sides are nearing agreement on nuclear disclosure and are fine-tuning the wording of an admission by the North that it provided nuclear technology to Syria.

A South Korean government source predicted the meeting will bear “good results.” “Settling the nuclear disclosure issue is a big progress in itself, and the two will start verifying the declaration as soon as the North completes the report,” he added.

Speaking in the East Timorese capital of Dili on Sunday, Hill expressed hope the scheduled meeting will “make some progress,” adding, “And then we can maybe move on.”  [Chosun Ilbo]

Some how I doubt if North Korea admits to nuclear proliferation to a regime known to support terrorism that negotiations with the North can just “move on” as Chris Hill hopes.  That must be why the wording needs “fine tuning” so the North Koreans can admit to proliferation without anyone noticing.  The wording of this admission should be quite interesting.  Stay tuned on this one.
