Here we go again with Kim Jong-Bill auditioning to become Barack Obama’s Secretary of State:
The governor of the U.S. state of New Mexico says he’s sent his senior adviser to Pyongyang in a bid to settle the North Korean nuclear issue.
According to the AFP, Governor Bill Richardson’s office said in a statement Thursday that K.A. Namkung left for Pyongyang on Wednesday and will stay there over the weekend.
The statement said Namkung is traveling to North Korea at a critical juncture, as Washington has announced progress toward disabling that country’s nuclear facilities.
According to the statement, Namkung was invited by North Korea’s Foreign Ministry to attend a discussion about the North’s nuclear programs. It added that the top adviser is being accompanied by several other Asia policy experts from the United States. [KBS Global]
Any bets on how long before Kim Jong-Bill Richardson declares once again that he has solved the North Korean nuclear agreement? At least he is not wandering around Pyongyang himself allowing the North Koreans to use him for propaganda purposes for a change.

What does NM Governor's office got to do with Korea? I didn't even know that there are any Korean-American living in NM let alone in the Governor's office.

North Korea policy has killed two political figures in my mind.
Up to about a year ago, I had a fairly good impression of Richardson and Condi Rice, but their talk and actions on North Korea policy over this past year has made me consider them just two more idiot/misguided political figures.

Bush's South Korean policy makes me think he is an idiot.
Underwriting the Korean military.
Letting Koreans go to the USA unfettered.
Opening the US Market, to low quality Korean goods.
I can't imagine what a nightmare it would be to have Bill Jong Il as the Dear Leader of the USA.
