Let me second what Jax said and add to it by saying that North Korean SOF troops will also infiltrate into South Korea and do things like blow bridges, start forest fires, bomb high apartments, etc. to cause a mass refugee crisis to clog the roads. When the roads are clogged the US and ROK forces would be hampered to move their heavy armor and artillery.

This would cause a more light infantry based fight in the hills which conventional NK troops are well equipped to fight as Jax mentioned. However, this is based on if NK can launch a surprise attack which I believe is unlikely. If the US and ROK forces are alerted and waiting for a Nork attack they have no chance.

I would suspect that when facing superior enemy firepower, these KPA trained units would stick to their training, decentralize their operations, and then fight an attrition-based guerrilla war.

Or they could just ask for help from the Chinese …

These North Korean indoctrinating techniques of torture are called trauma-based mind control. The trauma creates mental dissociation which opens the mind to politically useful suggestions. These implanted ideas fix deep into the neurological system.

Brainwashed.

You can do this to whole countries by creating a traumatic media event — then immediately insert a wanted idea. Predetermined patsies are usually offered to the media to create an instant enemy for the people. That is how I learned to hate Osama Bin Laden and love President Bush with cult-like passion. I wonder if the American government learned their North Korean lessons all too well.
