The Anti-Robert Kim Receives Political Asylum in the US

I wonder if this case will come up during South Korean President Lee Myung-bak’s summit with US President George Bush?:

After disclosing activities by the intelligence agency which allegedly helped former South Korean president Kim Dae-jung win the Nobel Peace Prize in 2000, Kim has been living in the U.S. He applied for asylum in December 2003. In 2005, Kim shocked Korean society by divulging the fact that the NIS precursor Agency for National Security Planning was engaged in illicit wiretapping of mobile phones of influential figures under the Kim Young-sam administration in the early 1990s.

Kim told Yonhap it took five long years for the U.S. court to grant him political asylum. Kim said he firmly believed a higher court will make the same decision. He added that if the Korean government continues to ignore the truths he shed light on, there is no reason for him to come back. However, if the new government is willing to investigate the issues, he is willing to return, Kim said. [Chosun Ilbo]

This is the least the US government could do to show appreciation for exposing the fraud the 2000 Inter-Korean Summit and the follow on Nobel Peace Prize for Kim Dae-jung was when it was disclosed that Kim Dae-jung secretly transferred $500 million dollars to North Korea in order to arrange the summit.

Something tells me that if Kim Ki-sam ever did return to South Korea he would not receive the welcome Robert Kim did

The last 10 years of liberal rule nearly destroyed the country’s direction.

Why is he the “anit-robert kim”? They both seem like worms. He just seems like more Korean garbage dumped in the USA. Like Robert Kim he has no loyalty to the USA.

He should be sent back to Korea, and sent to jail.

How you think this guy is “Korean garbage” is beyond me when he exposed the fraud of the first Inter-Korean summit.

He was part of the network of illegal internal spying. The guy is dishonest and amoral.

“Former employee Kim Ki-sam claimed in various interviews that the National Intelligence Service had maintained a special wiretapping unit called “Mirim” under the Kim Young-sam government, which ruled from 1993 to 1997.”

In 2000, he knew his time was up, so he gave up the dirt he collected.

It is a normal practice in Korea.

If there is any justice, he will be sent to Korea and live out his life in the gray bar hotel.

“Attorneys for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security have appealed the political asylum given to Kim Ki-sam by a Philadelphia judge in April.”

Kim DJ is out of power. This guy needs to quit sucking from the generous teat of the USA.

This unregisterd spy needs the boot.
