I have no problems w/ S.Korea taking Takeshima/Dokdo. I just find it funny that both sides argue w/ each other using "historical" evidence. It was a land grab, so what? S.Korea's got it now, and Russia has Sakhalin/Kuriles, tough, that's the way the world works. It's just embarrassing that both sides have to use such convoluted arguments.

Also I'm glad to see both sides waking up to their senses and realizing that they share more in common than differences. Their strategic interests lie with each other and America (and Taiwan as well). If they don't want to be vassal states to the future hyperpower of China, they need to start working together now.

It is insane to sign any agreements with Korea as long as Korea is aggressively occupying the Japanese island of takeshima. Lets not forget that once the allied powers beat Japan (and little chosun), the sneaky and dishonest Korean government tried to snake her way into stealing Tsushima Island. The Allies put a stop to that and a stop to the Korean sezure of Takeshima (but the sneaky Korean government occupied her anyway).
