Despite the horrible year Michelle Wie had in 2007 that featured her being blown out in a number of tournaments and being criticized by fellow female golfer Annika Sorenstam, she was still able to rack in the second most amount of money of all female sports athletes. Wie made $19 million dollars last year and was only beaten out by female tennis star Maria Sharapova who with her two Grand Slam tournament wins last year raked in $23 million dollars.
