I could definitely see these idiots using the US beef issue in order to try and provoke a fight with USFK servicemembers:
A banned South Korean student activist group might launch violent demonstrations against U.S. military installations in reaction to South Korea’s decision Thursday to allow the importation of American beef, according to U.S. Forces Korea.
The group, Hanchongryon, "may attempt violent demonstrations and/or trespassing onto U.S. installations," according to a force-protection warning posted at www.usfk.mil.
Tens of thousands of South Koreans have taken to the streets in protest rallies in recent weeks, with many claiming the meat isn’t safe from mad cow disease. Dozens have been arrested, according to South Korean news reports. [Stars & Stripes]
After the 2002 armored vehicle accident a number of incidents provoked by Koreans to include assaults, kidnappings, and even a stabbing occurred against USFK servicemembers with no repercussions for the Koreans involved in the incidents. If the protests against US beef continues it may very well lead to open season again on USFK servicemembers.

Arm the MPs with all beef hotdogs dressed with mustard relish and onions, fight them in the fields, fight them in the streets. Fight them in the allyways. Use hamburgers cooked rare. Give them a taste of what a US soldier is all about. Bring out the roach coach if need be.

Gerry,
Maybe if the North Koreans invade we can combat them with beef hot dogs as well.

In the eyes of most Koreans, USFK servicemembers are lower then dogs. Dogs they can beat, tortue and eat, and to a Korea, they have a purpose. USFK servicemembers serve no purpose in Korea to Koreans.
I don’t say this because I happy, I say it because its true. Time to wake up USFK servicemembers.

Maybe we could adapt BDU practice bombs into “Beef Dispensing Units,” or cluster bomb units into “Corned Beef Units” to dispense the much feared US beef against North Korean attack, although then the Loons and the UN would be against using food as a weapon. At least it would slow down the NorKs as they scrounged for the cans to fill their empty bellies.

“Maybe if the North Koreans invade we can combat them with beef hot dogs as well.”
GI, I heard that Korean women love US beef hotdogs. They say that US beef hotdogs are taisty and much better then substandard Korean hotdogs.
New Yorkers stand in line to pay 23$ for tasty Kobe beef Japanese hot dogs.

I can see this playing out well.
“Honey, I got in a fight today. I was jumped by three Korean guys (and subsequently beat their asses.)”
“Why did they jump you?”
“Beef.”

LOL. TRUE TRUE TRUE!
Tonight there was 100,000 Koreans buring US flags in a massive anti-American protest. When will Americans realize that the real issue isn’t beef or driving accidents, its becuae many Koreans really hate Americans (along with black people, other Asian, and generally any non Korean).

It is so sad. Especially, when these idiots go home and eat American beef because they have no idea what a real protest means. Boycott the beef, Korea! Don’t just do what the Cyworld Talking Points command you to do.
Shouldn’t these kids be studying in hagwons?

Hmmm…
When the next protest happens, I’m going up there with a van and a sign.
The van will be full of twenty-five cent Chinese-made American flags.
The sign will say something like, “Show the beef-eating American basatrds what you think of them for only 20 thousand won!”
Each will be sold in a plastic bag as a “DEATH TO AMERICA Flag and Lighter Gift Set”.
You think I’m kidding, don’t you. I’m not.
I suppose I could fill the bags with Zyklon B before I sealed them…
…although it would be nice to have repeat business when the next hot anti-American issue is…
(shakes magic 8 ball)
…Genetically Modified Corn!

Just wait until Hanwoo and Aussi beef price increase and their quality decrease, then maybe Koreans will find out that they were duped by the Left wing anti-US idiots. Also with lack of US beef export to Korea, then US will also limit ROK autos, cell phones and other appliance items importing from Korea. Who will be the loser in this US beef issue?

I’m glad to see Korean-American’s are NOT support the ludicrousness in Korea right now over the American Beef. Don’t they realize that the majority of their country’s change from rice fields to Cell Phones and PC Bangs is by direct result of trade with the USA (and Europe…but mostly the US). Don’t they realize the only reason they aren’t a communist counterpart of now N.Korea is because of US intervention (and continued protection of their borders). Some thanks, we (the USA) gets accused of selling tainted Beef (a completely unfounded accusation).
Completely absurd, why are the big Korean players (like LG and Samsung) doing something to end these stupid mind blocks and help Korea progress in the market.

A good portion of these protesters *think* that living under communism wouldn’t be bad, as long as Korea was united. Will be great until there’s no more MBC, internet, and their Anycall doesn’t work anymore.
I think it’s time for USFK (Army) to leave. Whatever happens here happens. Would be more joes to throw into the Iraq/Afghanistan rotations.
Mmmm… now back to my Hamburger Helper (with my mi-chin-so/gyung-woo-byung U.S. beef.)
