US Defense Secretary will be in Seoul this week for talks with his Korean couterpart:
The defense chiefs of Korea and the United States will hold talks in Seoul Tuesday in their first meeting since the launch of the Lee Myung-bak administration.
The Defense Ministry in Seoul said Sunday that Defense Minister Lee Sang-hee and U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates will discuss major issues, including stopping the reduction of U.S. Forces Korea under an agreement reached at the bilateral summit in April.
They will also speak on the planned relocation of the U.S. forces in Korea, defense cost sharing and wartime operational control of the Korean military.
Another agenda item is the planned redeployment of U.S. Apache attack choppers in Korea to Afghanistan.
After the talks, Gates will attend the inauguration ceremony of the new commander of U.S. forces in Korea. before leaving for Thailand. [KBS Global]
These are all issues that have been covered before here at the ROK Drop. What I do want to see Secretary Gates do though is invite all his Korean defense couterparts over to the Dragon Hill Lodge for a nice juicy American steak and see what their reaction would be.

I hope it goes as well as the Iraqi alliance talks.

I think he should speak only in double entendre.
“Nice to meat you, sir. If we can see rib-eye to eye and flesh out an agreement without any beefs, we can steak our defense on the alliance and have those jerky North Koreans cowed if they know we can kick them in the rump. However, if we skirt the issues, those butchers may flank us and leave us to stew. Well, come visit me in the States some time and I’ll take you to a New York strip… show.”

South Korea must break ties with the US and get rid of these rediculous complainers like the GI korea off their land.
These freakin losers blaim their miserable existence to Koreans instead of their pitiful military accomodation the US Army/Air Force/ and Navy provides for them. But it doesn’t matter what I say here… the only salvation for Koreans… is to get rid of them American GIs off their land, period.
Korea does plenty of business with other nations besides the US. Korea may face severe setback at first for breaking ties with the US, but they will get back up eventually. Hell.. better than constantly beling labelled as ‘the one who can’t even protect their own country’ by these rude GIs with no mutual respect for Korean people.
But it won’t be too long before South Koreans truly realize that the US military presence in South Korea must end. Heck, you GIs like your Japanese allie so freaking much, then pack your shit up and move their instead.

Hard to tell these days if one is truly a Korean nationalist or just making smoke for the Panda Bear…

P.S. Or is it maybe a North Korean-loving lackey/apologist making such a statement?

US must leave!, mark my words…if I ever get orders to Korea again, I will resign, then you can do a circle-jerk of victory with all your Corean buddies (if you can get them to come back to the motherland from the US, Australia, Canada, etc.).

(if you can get them to come back to the motherland from the US, Australia, Canada, etc.)
Impossible.
The Koreans that abandon Korea do so for a reason. Many are known as “incan sulege” or human garbage. They abandon Korea because they are trash in Korea, and all real Koreans know this.
Its pretty ironic actually. The Koreans who abandon Korea are the most nationalistic and yet real Koreans treat them like dirt. LOL Actually its funny.. lol

i agree with Mark. i think they dont belong in korea since they face so much racism and difficulty from the local. i think all the us serviceman in south korea should relocate to iraq immediately. in iraq, u guys could abuse and torture the local. just call them a terrorist and u could get away with it. u guys also could run over little girls and get away with it too, just say u thought she was a member of al qaeda. now that juicy girls in korea got the nerve to sue for child support, the us serviceman got a real reason to leave korea. i heard from the news that us servicman in iraq could rape little girls and get away with it. i think iraq is all the us serviceman’s wet dream!
