Digging around YouTube today I was pleasantly surprised to find that someone had uploaded some fairly high quality video footage of the 2nd Infantry Division Headquarters Camp Red Cloud from from over 40 years ago:
I love seeing old pictures of USFK facilities and Korea in general and finding color video is even better.

CRC, 1980. 604th DASS, LT Col Anzivino in command. Known as "Anzivinos Bambinos". He was as hard as they come and not well liked. (He was a Pr**k) But when the ORI came, the inspectors said we must have cheated. It was three weeks in garrison and one week in the field all year long. Got to be fun trying to pound GP medium tent pegs in the ground at 10 below zero, with a Captain running around throwing smoke bombs yelling "gas, gas, gas,". Had to keep the vehicles running all night so the engines would start when we had to "Leap". C-rats leftover from WWII were sent to the Yongsan labs every month for insurance against botulism. The reports would come back and state "Crackers are disintigrating due to age, but otherwise meals are good to eat". Peanut butter was the most popular item in the C-rats, as if you could go a week in February without having to take a dump in the freezing cold, you could unload the 10 lb nugget back at camp. Jimah Carter was our illustrious pres at the time.

Very neat film. Most of the buildings were still there and looked about the same back in 77 and 80.

I was there from 12/63 to 12/64 in the 7ID NOT 2ID. 7ID was there, I believe, until 1971.

SEARCHING FOR GRANDFATHER. Looking for anyone CRC '64-'65 that'd know anything about an African-American soldier dying in a traffic accident. Planned to marry a Korean woman whom he had met at the U.S. Army Services Club, where she worked. Their child was ~7 months old when he died.
Also, if you can give ANY info on the U.S. Army Services Club, or anything else, please reply. Thanks.
