So what are the odds that tens of thousands of people will take to the streets demanding a renegotiation of the Chile-ROK Free Trade Agreement after this?:
The government on Thursday suspended Chilean pork imports after it found traces of toxic dioxin that can damage the human immune system and cause cancer.
The Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries said that it discovered three-point-nine picograms of dioxin in a package belonging to a five-point-four ton shipment that arrived in early June.
The dioxin level exceeds both the two picogram limit set by Seoul and the European Union’s one picogram limit. [KBS Global]

American dioxine is much more lethal than Chile’s. It’s kind of like when USFK dropped 88 ounces of chemical “F” into the Han river, when Suwon dumped 320 tons of untreated sewage into the Han river the same month, the chemicals were much more mild and understanding of Korean anatomy.
