GI, you need an edit button

I might add, lest some folks think Beavers is set up out there soley to cater to GI's hiding from the MP's that this is far from the truth.

Check out his website: http://www.sansok.net/

Does it look like his place was intended to be some sort of GI hide out?

If true, it seems certain commanders are attempting to circumvent the Armed Forces Disciplinary Control Board. They can give a lawful order for their soldiers to stay away and the soldiers must follow. This is well within the commanders rights; however, it seems to not be in spirit with the regulations governing these things. Under this action there is no due process or recourse for the business owner to state his case.

It is obviously local as the off-limits list at http://www.usfk.mil/usfk/index.html?/usfk/offlimits/index.asp has not been updated since 6 or 13 June.

As for the establishment being "too far", I think they are saying it is too far to send CP's or MP's out on normal town patrol. I am not aware of the town patrol visiting any establishments (out side the ville) in New Town or other areas which soldiers frequent. I guess Beavers is a special case and must be monitored closely.
