Look at the 2002 world cup. Korea cheated her way to the final four. When Korea got her ass beat in the World baseball classic, all you heard was how the Americans cheated by making the rules against the Koreans... LOL!!

I was there when Roy Jones got robbed/cheated out of a gold medal. It was so one-sided and obvious that I was beside myself. To their credit most of the Koreans sitting nearby were equally shocked. I kept joking in Korean for someone to call the police, there was a robbery in progress and again, to their credit, many of the Koreans nearby were laughing and agreeing. It was dreadful. I understand the Koreans finally owned up to the fact that a judge had been bribed.

Unfortunately what happened in '88 is that the Koreans failed to "host" the Olympics and instead medal fever took over.

My favorite story (and there were many) was the bus that failed to arrive at the Olympic village to transport the boxers to a preliminary bout. The Korean boxing officials immediately called for the American boxers who had failed to arrive to be disqualified.

I hope the Koreans will have a good Olympics and that they accept their victories and their losses with grace.

"This is where the B/S stops and the truth reigns…either you are the best or you not!"

Not in the case of Korea. Remember Ohno? When Ohno won, the Korans went bonkers?

Like this: <a href="http://bp3.blogger.com/_BoqauqyJhbw/SIkSEqOaoNI/AAAAAAAAABk/gZm9MHfh-a0/s1600-h/korean-flag-eating.jpg" rel="nofollow">http://bp3.blogger.com/_BoqauqyJhbw/SIkSEqOaoNI/A...</a>

What about Byun Jong-il who thought the fight was fixed, and head-butted a guy (arrogant little pr*ck, ain't he). Then when he got DQ'd, he sat in the ring and cried like a baby. Everyone left and they turned off the lights... and he held his little protest all alone in the dark. Or what about Park Si-Hun? What never heard of him? LOL! What about Roy Jones Jr? Yes, I know you heard of him. Roy beat the crap out of that nobody (Was he a Kim, Park, Lee, all same LOL)and lost. Later the refs admitted they were bribed.

What's up with Korean TV announcers at the Olympics? They will not shut up.

The wife and I watched Pak Tae Won win a gold medal in the 400 meter swim, and both announcers were talking, no yelling, as fast as they could during the whole event. So much so that they sounded out of breath when it was over. They must have said "gold medal" a hundred times between them. And then came the obligatory replays, again and again.

Now, I just turn the sound off when the wife's not watching.

Loud-mouthed announcers aside, Korea is number 3 in the medal count so far. Congrats
