I really hope none of you English teachers in Korea ever try to get your students to take a picture like this:

Shocking. Heaven forbid. It’s a good thing that the Internet is so clean and pure from Japanese doing anything sexual with their fingers.

Yes! Koreans are arrogant bastards!
Most of the English teachers (about 80%) are closet homosexuals, just like this dude.

Well, I’m glad it’s not in Korea.
I remember some dipsh*t on Dave’s ESL forums- in fact it might
have even been a female- talking about having a conversation
class with the Korean teachers. He/She was talking about
the “funny” situation of teaching them about “the shocker”.
Many jumped on the poster for being a f*cking idiot. There
are enough Koreans who think we are sexual perverts/degenerates.
We don’t need anybody adding more fuel to the fire.
I know the GI’s get a bad rap, but there is also no shortage
of crazy/idiot/dipsh*t English teachers here in Asia!

Excuse me for asking but can anyone translate that handsign for me?
The backward “V” in British culture is the sexual act, but what is with the little pinkie sticking up? The teacher does not have an extended thumb, but the kids all do. One student is giving a modern version “peace” sign with index and pinkie extended.
I’m just too out of date. Can someone translate this body language for me?

Forget it…
This is supposedly, “The gesture refers to the act of inserting the index and middle fingers into a vagina and the little finger into the unwitting anus, hence the “shock”.”
Another poster said it was a “Yakuza missing finger” along with many who never knew what this sign meant.
My impression is that this is bull just to cause a row. The reference on human gestures that I’ve used for years is Body Talk by Desmond Morris, 1994 — and this gesture is not listed.
It could be the latest fashion sign, but after seeing the comments, it sure sounds like a scam. I am no longer interested.
