It is that time of year again when the side walks begin to be taken over by red peppers when it isn’t raining of course:
What I have always found amazing about red pepper season is how I have never seen anyone ever steal, walk on, or mess with the red peppers left out in the open to dry.

I’m sick these days, and when I first caught the headline, I thought you were writing a cute post related to the protest culture….
…anyway…when I saw it wasn’t that…I still thought about Kalani’s post and comments on how riot police should deal with protests..
….and my advocation of using current tools police groups in the US use.
Pepper spray, I’d imagine, is much better than tear gas and water cannons.
I’ve never been tear gassed, but pepper spray burns like crazy and doesn’t go away for a long time. You don’t just boot and scoot to a new location to wait to regroup and attack again…
Maybe Korea is already using pepper spray. I can’t remember from Kalani’s stuff.
But….given how much hot red pepper they grow — it seems supplies could be unlimited…

Actually, I have read headlines that say “tons of peppers left out dry stolen” once in a while in Korean newspapers. But it still is a wonder that it does not happen more frequently.
