It looks like the crackdown against Korean prostitution has even spread all the way to Japan:
Japanese immigration authorities raided two popular Korean host clubs yesterday. About 30 men were arrested, and 20 others were turned over to immigration. Most of the men apprehended were either overstaying visas or illegally working on tourist visas. Included among them was a player for a J-league soccer club. [Japan Probe]

I think this may be a preemptive strike to dissuade any prostitutes currently in Korea put out of business from the current crackdown going on, from trying to come to Japan to conduct their activities.

They weren't prostitutes or hostesses, but rather hosts – men that entertain women at bars. Most of their customers would have been richer old women or prostitutes with cash to spare.

“comfort guys” I can’t wait to see the Korean protests outside the J-Embassy demanding money and claiming they were kidnapped and forced to do it.
