The South Korean government must not be soft in guarding any of its territory from illegal foreign intrusions. The South Korean Coast Guard must be well armed and allowed to use it, when necessary. If the situation was reversed, the Chinese Coast Guard would surely have used firearms against South Korean fishermen in such circumstance. To let this pass will just reinforce the boldness in the Chinese and others to disregard South Korea's sovereignty.

In Seoul, you'd be amazed that's what Chinese really believe. Chinese are saying the Koreans were trying to arrest the Chinese in Chinese territory.
They're demanding Koreans apologize and they're organizing a boycott of Korean products.
