We are about to find out if the Australian government is about to be suckered into the Trust and Pretend to Verify Deal with North Korea:
Australia says it may provide fuel oil to North Korea in place of Japan.
The Australian Foreign Ministry said Australia supports the six-way nuclear talks and will consider a request for fuel oil aid to the communist country to facilitate the talks’ progress.
Local daily “The Australian” says that Canberra is reviewing a request made by Washington and Tokyo for Australian help in buying 200-thousand tons of fuel oil for the communist state.
But an Australian diplomatic source said his government has yet to make a decision on the matter because the request wasn’t conveyed through an official channel.
The source said Australia will likely reach a decision once members of the six-party talks make an official request. [KBS Global]

Lets hope this doesn't happen. Why wouold Australians want to support Korean oil because they threaten something nuclear. Is this what Australia wants to be known for succombing to threats from a country run by a dictator and anyone who opposes the regime disappears? Come on get real, Korea has been using threats for a long time and nothing has changed. It will continue to use threats as long as the world allows it. I'm all for saying no! Let them know that Bully Boy tactics aren't going to work in this neck of the woods.
