The Three Drags On South Korea’s Name Brand

I can think of a few other things, but definitely these are three major factors effecting South Korea’s name brand:

President Lee Myung-bak said Thursday that North Korean leader Kim Jong-il is one of three major factors undermining South Korea’s national brand, the others being the nation’s outdated labor laws and its frequent street demonstrations.

“A foreign report noted that three main factors weigh on the Republic of Korea’s national brand value. The first one is labor-management conflict, the second is illegal street rallies and the third is North Korea’s Kim Jong-il,” Lee was quoted by his spokesman as saying during a private government meeting on national competitiveness. Of course, Lee will be damned by the Left here for speaking the truth.

I expect a new round of candlelight vigils denouncing Dictator Lee's "supression of democracy" shortly.

Just stopped by Kyobo in Kwanghwamun, and sure enough the anti-2MB protesters have occupied Chonggak Plaza once again with their silly demands to "renegotiate the U.S. beef deal" and "fight the dictator." The same chubby punk who tried to whack a cop in July (and who I yanked away at the last second) was right at the front holding up a big flag demanding to throw 2MB out, and posing for the cameras like a little media whore. No doubt this is the only way he'll ever dream of getting any tail.

We think that these people would be much happier up in the North. They won't have to worry about eating any deadly US beef there at all!
