Former Seoul American Students Implicated In Bizarre Murder for Breast Implants Plot

Former Seoul American High School students have been implicated in a bizarre murder plot back in the US:

Nikita Weis and Sophia Alsept

A young couple in custody in Colorado for allegedly plotting to kill the boyfriend’s mother so they could buy the girlfriend breast implants attended Seoul American High School on the U.S. Army’s Yongsan Garrison, according to school yearbooks.

Nikita Weis, 18, and Sophia Alsept, 21, were arrested Sept. 26 after Weis’ mother chased off the attackers and called police, said Sgt. Jess Freeman, spokesman for the Fountain, Colo., Police Department.

Weis and Alsept — along with Juan Antonio Velez Gonzalez, 18, and Brandon Soroka, 19, two men the couple allegedly hired to kill Weis’ mother — were arrested several hours after the botched attack, Freeman said. (…)

According to Freeman, Weis came home around 11 p.m. on Sept. 25 and left the garage door open. His mother, Hyun Sook Weis, said he was acting strangely.

She was alone in the kitchen, she told police, when two men wearing black clothes and ski masks came inside and began beating her with a small, souvenir-sized baseball bat. She began hitting them with a teapot and then set off her car alarm when they wrestled her to the floor, police said.

The attackers then fled.

Police said all four were caught early the next morning and confessed to their roles in the assault.

Freeman said the accused attackers planned to dump Hyun Sook Weis’ body in the New Mexico desert.

Weis and Alsept, who lived together, planned to sell Hyun Sook Weis’ car after she was killed, because they needed money to pay bills and get breast-enlargement surgery for Alsept, Freeman said.

They had promised to pay the men $7,000, according to local media reports. [Stars & Stripes]

Here is more from a local Colorado Springs news station:

Police say the group agreed on a fee of $2,000 to be paid to Gonzalez to kill Weiss.

The affidavit reveals the group tried to get to the mother Wednesday night, but she would not answer the door. On Thursday, however, Nikita went inside while a man dressed in all black waited outside. The man eventually entered the home before police say he beat the mom on the head with a baseball bat.

However, Weiss spoiled the group’s plans when she managed to hit the panic button on her car alarm. The sound of the alarm scared the suspects away. Weiss then called 9-1-1 from a neighbor’s home. Soon after police arrived, detectives say Nikita and Sophia returned to the scene and were later taken to police headquarters. Police say the two claimed to be victims, held at gunpoint before admitting they in fact were a part of the planning.

Police say the four suspects face conspiracy to first-degree murder charges. Two of the suspects are as young as 18-years of age. [KRDO]

Here is an AP video report of the attempted murder:

I tried to find a full body image of the woman in question Sophia Alsept because I know you all want to know what she looks like that would make her want to kill someone for breast implants. Well the best I can do is this image of a Sophia Alsept taking the enlistment oath into the Air Force in 2006 at the Dragon Hill Lodge:

Airmen from the 303rd Intelligence Squadron Operating Location-F, along with the joint team assigned to the Special United States Liaison Advisor, Korea, or SUSLAK, came out in force to witness a swearing in ceremony for Ms. Sophia Alsept. Sophia, the daughter of Steven Alsept, chief of SUSLAK’s Information Assurance Branch raised her right hand and joined the United States Air Force in January 2006. She is scheduled to report to Basic Training this month. Mr. Alsept and Sophia spent hours with SUSLAK’s senior enlisted leader, Chief Master Sgt. Paul Moreau, in December discussing Air Force life before making her decision to enlist.

I am willing to bet that this is the same person accused in the murder plot which leads me to wonder if she was still in the Air Force at the time of the murder plot?

Gonzales and Soroka

Nikita Weiss must really like big boobs to attempt something like this, but he definitely got the quality of hit men he paid for considering they tried to kill someone with a mini baseball bat.

Talk about a bizarre murder plot and if you think this isn’t strange enough, well guess what? It gets even stranger. Before this murder plot even occurred Nikita’s mom had to bail him out of jail. For what you may ask? For assault and kidnapping of the girl Sophia Alspet that he tried to kill his mom to get a boob job for!:

Local Colorado news outlets have reported that several weeks before
the plot to murder Hyun Sook Weis was uncovered, she had already
bailed her son, Nikita Lee Weis, out of jail. Not only that, but she’d been
helping him out by providing him with money.

Why did he end up in court you ask? For attempted kidnapping with a
deadly weapon. The victim? He’d assaulted Sophia Alsept. Yep. The same
erstwhile siren who wanted so desperately a new boob job.

It seems Alsept has been wanting bigger breasts for awhile and Nikita
hatched the not so bright idea to give his not quite sexy siren an
“I’m sorry for beating your ass gift.” He decided that the quickest
way to get back into her good graces was to off his mother, steal
her money and give Sophia the plumped up bazooms to enhance her thin
frame. Local Court records allegedly show that Juan Gonzalez and Brandon
Soroka, the pals Nikita recruited to do the deed, both attacked Hyun Weis
with a baseball bat. [Crime, Mystery, Mayhem Forum]

You can read more details of Nikita’s prior arrest here as well.

I’m sure these four will have fun explaining this crime to the rest of the cons in prison. I hope Nikita likes man boobs because that is probably all he is going to be seeing for awhile in prison.

    GI,

What a bunch of boobs. Don’t pardon the pun.

One part that is left out, is how the mother fought back with a teapot. Seems she was at least as well armed as the men trying to kill her.

    Cheers,

    Bill

If this had happened in Korea, nobody would get arrested. Obviously her inner balance has been disturbed, so its all understandable. If anything, the mother should have to apologize for giving her the DNA for small boobs.

I just don’t get it, killing for boobs.

People sometimes just need to be shot for being an idiot. That guy sounds like one of them. “I’ll kill my mom and take the money and spend it on some girl to have a boob job and maybe she will stay with me.”

    Classic…..

Strange to say the least…but hilarious that their butts were kicked by an old Korean woman…she is the Hero here & should ensure that charges are pursued.

Of note…there has been two seperate acts of violence by Korean-Americans, or Koreans raised in the states that has made the papers. Perhaps there is more to young Korean males inAmerica that mneeds to be uncovered???

This stupid little, flat-chested, Biatch needs to suffer greatly for her vanity. What an IDIOT!

Blame it on the economy. “Slump Hits Plastic Surgeons”

In these lean times, these lean girls are going to have to resort to stuffing their holsters with tissue paper like they used to do in high school.

Or … we can just expect more incidents of matricide.

Fox “This was a pretty strong fighting woman,” said Sergent Freeman. “She chased the man out of the house and threw a teapot at him.”

I hope she don’t get into any trouble for throwing the teapot at him AFTER he went outside and was no longer a threat.

Every time I hear about this, it seems to get funnier and funnier. Probably because I was in her class of ‘05 at her high-school. But seriously, a plot to kill the mom? She should have just became a stripper and bought them herself. Easily solution and Problem solved

I knew Nikita Weis in Seoul American HS. He sat next to me in math class, never did any of his own work. Very awkward kid too, I heard from another student that he was kicked out of the country because of a car theft issue. Sad story. Feel bad for his mom since a lot of people that I know, know her.

I went out with that girl in high school, she was a total slut and it was so pathetically funny to hear about this, 4 years later. She cheated on me a bunch of times and wrote me this “im sorry” letter, which I taped to the front door of the school during lunch, so when people came back they got to read all about what she did. It was great.

I was curious, they finally got sentenced. Rather light:

A judge Monday sentenced a 21-year-old woman to two years in prison for her role in a bungled murder-for-hire plot in which her boyfriend was accused of trying to have his mother killed.

Sophia Nicole Alsept wept as 4th Judicial District Judge David S. Prince ordered her to the jury box until El Paso County sheriff’s deputies came, handcuffed her and led her away.

At the last moment, she took a ring off her finger and handed it to her lawyer, Matthew Werner, who gave it to Alsept’s friend.

Werner had asked the judge to sentence Alsept to probation, contending she had been the victim of domestic violence committed by her then-boyfriend, Nikita Lee Weis.

Weis, 19, was charged with hiring two men to kill his mother so that he could sell her car on the Internet and use the money to pay for Alsept’s rent and a “boob job,” according to the arrest affidavit.

“This was a brutal plan,” Werner said of the plot, in which one man dressed in black burst into Hyun Sook Weis’ Fountain home and hit her over the head with a miniature baseball bat.

Investigators said their plan had been to wrap her body in plastic and dump her in the desert in New Mexico or Arizona. But Hyun Weis foiled their plan by setting off her car alarm and scaring her attacker away.

At the time of the Sept. 25, 2008, attack, Nikita Weis was out on bond on charges for allegedly kidnapping and assaulting Alsept 12 days earlier.

Werner argued that Weis had subjected Alsept to mental and physical abuse during their relationship.

“She was conditioned, your honor, to do whatever Nikita Weis said,” Werner said.

But Deputy District Attorney Gail Post countered that Alsept had an active role in the plot.

“I don’t have a dispute that they were in a dysfunctional relationship,” Post said. “What I do believe is that Ms. Alsept is not the passive person that the court is being led to believe.”

Alsept told the judge “I’m very sorry for Mrs. Weis … This has been very disturbing to me.” She described her unsuccessful efforts to get away from Nikita Weis.

Prince, however, said he did not believe probation was appropriate. Under a plea bargain reached last month, he could have sentenced her to up to three years in prison. He gave her two, noting that the other defendants in the case have gotten far more serious punishment. Nikita Weis was sentenced to 12 years, court records show.
